Fix: List out your non-negotiables on what you're not willing to compromise in your personal life and what you want to be known for, then see if these match to your organisations and if they don’t - you know what the answer is

Fix: Create a list of what makes you who you are, highlight what you like and what you dislike then plan to build on your strengths and limit the factors you dislike

Fix: Ask for feedback from multiple sets of stakeholders upwards, sideways and downwards in your network - don’t ask your “friends” you will not get very far

Fix: Create a stakeholder map to identify your key relationships and who you need to build a connection with that maybe missing

Fix: Identify with each stakeholder what motivates them and what you could give them in return to build your relationship
